Hunts

Old fashion bird hunting is what Flint Oak does best. Our highly trained and knowledgeable staff of guides will offer as much help to the beginner as needed, while giving the experienced hunter time to enjoy the great outdoors with fantastic customer service and superior dog work. Our fully guided field hunts consist of from one to three (maximum) hunters accompanied by a guide and his or her team of well-trained bird dogs. The hunt lasts for 3 hours and involves walking through some of the most beautiful scenery Kansas has to offer, including creeks, hills and oak savannah type cover. There are few things as exciting and enjoyable as watching a brace of well trained dogs pointing a mixed bag of Quail, Pheasant and Chukar.

Super Quail Hunts

Flint Oak’s Super Quail Hunts are a resemblance of days passed, following your favorite bird dogs to a point, and shooting these swift flying game birds on those cool, crisp winter mornings. The Super Quail Hunt has become a Member/Guest favorite. Lots of action and quick shooting create an exhilarating environment, even for the most avid hunters. If you remember those days years ago of chasing the elusive Bobwhite and want to experience that feeling again, this is your opportunity.

If you are not able to walk for the duration of our field hunts, we also offer UTV assisted hunts, which consists of up to three hunters riding a Polaris Ranger with a Guide driving and a Guide handling dogs. When the dogs go on point, you will dismount, walk up and flush the birds, then remount your specially equipped UTV and ride to the next point. We have many hunters well into their 80's who can still enjoy this wonderful sport along with the company of friends and family. Special memories are created when we have had up to three generations in the field at the same time experiencing the serendipity of Flint Oak.
